Room One — The papyrus works
From
GHS 28,400 · Illustration with UV-reactive paint · Room One
History does not disappear. Sometimes it simply waits for another kind of light.
In daylight, From presents ancient Egypt through monumental figures, architecture and familiar symbols of power. Nefertiti, Tutankhamun and the temple occupy the visible surface like fragments of an inherited civilisation.
Then the light changes.
Under UV, another order reveals itself. The Eye of Horus, Anubis and sacred forms appear across the image, shifting the work from historical representation into something closer to spiritual memory.
From is about what survives beneath what we can immediately see. Ancestry, belief and knowledge remain present even when their original worlds have disappeared.
Made through: Detailed historical illustration layered with hand-applied fluorescent UV paint, creating a second composition that only emerges in darkness.
Artist: Withheld. Dimensions: Available on enquiry.
Starflare
GHS 23,150 · Illustration with UV-reactive paint · Room One
A map of the heavens becomes a doorway.
Starflare begins with Egyptian celestial imagery, symbolic figures and a circular field that reads somewhere between zodiac, cosmology and ancient diagram.
In daylight, the work invites interpretation.
In darkness, Bastet appears.
The glowing feline figure occupies the centre as if summoned from behind the image, turning the surrounding symbols into something more than ornament. Suddenly the work feels watched rather than merely observed.
Starflare considers the old human impulse to search the sky for meaning, protection and signs that something larger is looking back.
Made through: Egyptian cosmological illustration combined with hand-applied UV-reactive paint, revealing the luminous figure of Bastet when the visible light recedes.
Artist: Withheld. Dimensions: Available on enquiry.
Lillies & Lure
GHS 24,900 · Illustration with UV-reactive paint · Room One
Some images reveal themselves immediately. Others ask you to stay long enough for the room to change.
In ordinary light, Lillies & Lure is ornate and ceremonial, filled with Egyptian figures, floral forms and decorative repetition. It feels composed, almost complete.
Under UV light, a pharaonic presence rises through the centre of the work.
The transformation changes the relationship between viewer and image. What first appeared decorative becomes a vessel. The visible work was only the first layer.
Lillies & Lure explores attraction as an invitation into something concealed. Beauty draws you closer. Revelation is what waits underneath.
Made through: Illustrated Egyptian imagery layered with fluorescent UV paint, using light itself as part of the composition and revealing a hidden pharaonic figure after dark.
Artist: Withheld. Dimensions: Available on enquiry.
Room Two — Recycled material and carved wood
Conscience
GHS 30,750 · Hand-carved wood in deep relief · Room Two
A whole society carved into a single surface.
Conscience moves through work, rest, family, conflict, care and survival. No figure stands entirely alone. Every action seems to touch another, forming a dense portrait of communal life where individual choices accumulate into collective consequence.
The work asks a quiet question: what do we owe the people whose lives are entangled with our own?
Made through: Hand-carved wood in deep relief, with layered figures, architecture, vegetation and everyday scenes built into one continuous narrative landscape.
Artist: In-House. Dimensions: Available on enquiry.
Pessimistic Optimism
GHS 16,500 · Found objects, sculptural relief · Room Two
A face made from things that had already finished being something else.
Containers, fragments, discarded objects and industrial remnants gather into eyes, cheekbones, glasses, mouth and expression. Up close, the materials resist the portrait. Step away and a person appears.
That tension gives Pessimistic Optimism its name.
It does not pretend that waste, exhaustion or collapse are beautiful. Instead, it asks whether value can survive the conditions that made something disposable in the first place.
The optimism is not clean. It has had to build itself from whatever remained.
Made through: Found and repurposed objects assembled into a sculptural relief portrait, using discarded materials as both physical medium and conceptual language.
Artist: In-House. Dimensions: Available on enquiry.
When
GHS 26,300 · Mixed media with reclaimed materials · Room Two
At what point do fragments become a person?
When constructs a portrait from fabric, clothing, plastic components, mechanical remnants and other recovered materials. Each piece retains something of its previous life, yet together they begin to form skin, hair, clothing, shadow and expression.
The work lives in that moment of becoming.
Seen closely, it is an accumulation of unrelated things. Seen from a distance, identity arrives.
When asks whether a person is ever one continuous thing, or simply a lifetime of materials, memories, histories and encounters arranged closely enough to resemble a self.
Made through: A hand-assembled mixed-media portrait using textiles, reclaimed objects and found materials to build the figure through colour, texture, relief and accumulation.
Artist: In-House. Dimensions: Available on enquiry.
